Nirixense is built on the 6+ year collaboration between Prof. Siddharth Tallur and Prof. Sauvik Banerjee’s teams at IIT Bombay to develop affordable, made-in-India SHM and NDT solutions. We address the pressing need for timely and cost-effective maintenance of critical infrastructure by offering made-in-India, rugged, and affordable solutions. Our install-and-forget, low-maintenance SHM products, enabled by edge AI and IoT, give insights into structural integrity. Our value-for-money NDT products enable early detection of cracks, corrosion, and other defects.
We intend to cater to diverse sectors: concrete, metallic and composite structures. Our immediate target market is reinforced concrete infrastructure.

Concrete SHM solutions
We are developing end-to-end “install and forget” solutions for structural health monitoring (SHM), based on our novel sensor systems, IoT-enabled wireless sensor networks and expertise-backed data analysis. Our solutions are aimed at solving pain-points for structural engineers, consultants and asset owners alike. We offer smart sensing nodes that simplify installation and data gathering, as well as enable smarter structures through our built-in sensor solutions for permanent installation inside concrete.
